In attendance: Jim Borchert, Jennifer & Mark Delaney, Jake Hamlin, Joe Ling, Becky Pope, Curt Shippy, and Glen Terry.
I. Call to Order
Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President Jake Hamlin.
II. Approval of the Agenda
Motion: Ruth Peterson moved that the 7/16/01 agenda be approved. Becky Pope seconded the motion. The motion was passed.
III. Treasurer
Glen Terry reported a balance of $1,847.79 with approximately $1,200 in the general membership fund.
Motion: Becky Pope moved that the 7/16/01 Treasurer’s Report be approved. Curt Shippy seconded the motion. The motion was passed.
IV. Committee Reports
Safety Seminar - The site for the 3rd Annual MBA Safety Seminar will be the St. Croix Valley YMCA. A safety seminar committee will be identified at the August general membership meeting.
Jr. Balloonist - No committee report.
Social Committee -
Becky Pope proposed and will be working on invitations for a mini-golf event on Sunday, August 19 at 100pm. A grill will be provided at the Shippy residence after the event.

VI. New Business
A. State Fair: The 2001 Minnesota State Fair is scheduled from Thursday, August 23 through Monday, September 3. The MBA will have a basket, banner, informational handouts, and a member roster available within the Department of Aeronautics section.
Members are needed to staff the booth and answer questions on weekdays from 3-6pm and weekends from
10-1pm and 3-6pm. Admission to the fair is included. Please contact Jake Hamlin at 651-690-3987 if you are interested in staffing the state fair booth during these times.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
VIII. Next Meeting
The Washburn Public Library is not available next month. Therefore, the general membership meeting and social event will be held together on Sunday, August 19 at 1:00p.m.
