Old Business:

Newsletter

Sam has the newsletter ready to go. It has been sent out to the Board Members for a preview. It will be updated after this 3/20/05 meeting to include a ballot for voting on Board Members. It will be accessible on the website and also a printed copy sent out to paid MBA members.

Safety Seminar

The speakers are all set. The rooms are reserved. The logistics at the YMCA camp have been finalized. The BFA has approved the seminar. We’re ready to go!

Calendar/Cookbook

Becky Pope researched the cost of doing a cookbook. For a 200 minimum book order, with 500 recipes in the book, the cost would be $5.40/ea. (The cost is based on the number of recipes in the book.) Sioux Falls may be interested in a joint cookbook, depending on the cost. Regarding a calendar, George Ibach said Target would be willing to listen to a plan if the MBA would present one.

New Business:

Membership Drive

There are currently only 26 members paid. A suggestion was to have a ‘social’ to lure new members in to joining the MBA.

Election of Officers

The following people have been nominated for Board positions:

President: Sam Blackburn

Vice President: Mike Lesmeister

Treasurer: Glen Terry

Secretary: Kim Dickey

Ballots can be completed at the Safety Seminar, or emailed to the MBA. You must be a current, paid MBA member to vote.

Next meeting will be Monday, April 18th at Gus & Betty’s house.
