Newsletter

Sam has the newsletter ready to go. It will be accessible on the website and also sent out to paid MBA members.

Winter Social

16 people attended the Winter Social on Saturday, January 15^th at the Edgewood Restaurant just south of Cannon Falls. Thank you to Becky Pope for organizing the event.

Safety Seminar

All of the speakers are lined up for sure, except for one. Dave Johnson need one more biography before he can send the info/agenda in to the BFA for their approval. Gus will work on getting the bios together. We will figure out the meals, breaks, etc. as we get closer to the date. We will still plan to have the Friday night Welcome BBQ/Social.

Calendar/Cookbook

Sioux Falls is possibly going to put together a cookbook from ballooning members. Becky Pope will check with Shirley Leimbach to see if they would like to collaborate on this project. Becky will head the cookbook committee. Glen Terry is getting quotes on calendar prices. We’re probably looking at a 2007 calendar.

New Business:

Election of Officers

Need nominations for President, Vice President and Secretary. Glen Terry has agreed to be on the ballot for the Treasurer. A temporary amendment was made to the ByLaws this year to accept nominations up to 7 days before the election. Glen will put out an email to ask for people willing to take a Board position.

Next meeting will be Monday, February 21st at Gus & Betty’s house.
